Rugged Ops Transportation is hiring two established CDL-A teams — four drivers total — for nationwide over-the-road operations through Landstar. Each driver receives $1,600 in guaranteed gross weekly pay when the team remains available and operates at least five out of seven days, subject to company policy, DOT hours-of-service rules, and approved time off. This is a W-2 company-driver position. Rugged Ops provides the truck, covers fuel expenses, and pays drivers during qualifying freight delays and deadhead travel.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned team truck on nationwide OTR routes through Landstar
  • Maintain availability and operate at least five out of seven days per week
  • Haul no-touch freight safely and on schedule
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections per FMCSA regulations
  • Maintain accurate logs and comply with DOT hours-of-service rules
  • Keep the assigned truck clean and treat company equipment with care
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch and your co-driver
  • Remain out OTR according to the team's agreed schedule

Minimum Qualifications

  • Both drivers must be at least 23 years of age
  • Valid Class A CDL and current medical card
  • Minimum 3 recent years of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience
  • At least 1 year of verifiable experience driving together as a team
  • Hazmat endorsement or willingness and eligibility to obtain one before start date
  • Clean, verifiable employment and driving history
  • Must meet applicable accident and moving-violation standards
  • Pass criminal-background review, MVR review, and employment verification
  • Pass pre-employment drug test and meet FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements
  • Meet all current Landstar and customer-account qualification standards
  • Professional, dependable, punctual, and safety-focused

Rugged Ops Transportation is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers for long-haul over-the-road routes across the continental United States. You'll haul time-sensitive freight with professionalism and reliability, representing the Rugged Ops standard on every run.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 8 tractor-trailer combinations on OTR routes across the 48 contiguous states
  • Maintain on-time pickup and delivery performance for time-sensitive freight
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per FMCSA regulations
  • Accurately complete all required logs, BOLs, and delivery documentation
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status and any delays
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent Rugged Ops on every delivery

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions limiting OTR operation
  • Minimum 1 year verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience
  • Clean MVR — no DUI, reckless driving, or major violations in the past 3 years
  • No felony convictions
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
  • Active commercial vehicle insurance (owner-operators)
  • Comfortable operating as a 1099 independent contractor
